Citrus peel powder:

Make your own homemade citrus peel powder from organic citrus fruits such as oranges, lime, lemons.

  1. Wash the citrus peels thoroughly to remove any dust or pesticides.
  2. Cut organic peels into strips and place them on a baking tray
  3. Sun dry the peels for 2-3 days or put them in a dehydrator or bake them in an oven at low heat for 3-6 hours.
  4. Once the peels are dry and hard, place them in a blender
  5. Blend until the peels turn into a fine powder.
  6. Store in an airtight jar

DIY face masks and scrubs

  1. Orange Peel and Yoghurt pack

    1. 2 tablespoon of yoghourt
    2. 2 tablespoon of orange peel powder
    3. Water or rose water as required
    4. Mix the ingredients in a bowl to form a pack.
    5. Apply the pack as normal. Make sure to avoid the eye region.
    6. Let it dry for 20 minutes
    7. Wash and dry
    8. Apply a natural moisturiser to keep the skin from drying.
  2. Orange Peel And Rose Water

    1. 1 tablespoon of rose water
    2. 2 tablespoon of orange peel powder
    3. ½ a tablespoon of sandalwood paste (optional)
    4. In a bowl, mix the ingredients well into a pack.
    5. Apply the paste on your face and let it rest for 15 minutes
    6. Waste and dry your face.
    7. Apply a natural moisturiser to keep the skin from drying.
  3. Orange Peel, Honey and Turmeric Yoghurt pack

    1. 2 tablespoon of yoghourt
    2. 2 tablespoon of honey
    3. Pinch of turmeric powder
    4. Water or rose water as required
    5. Mix the ingredients in a bowl to form a pack.
    6. Apply the paste on your face and let it rest for 10 minutes
    7. Waste and dry your face.
  4. Lemon, green tea and honey face pack:

    1. Grate one spoon of fresh lemon peel or use half a tablespoon of lemon peel powder.
    2. Combine with 1/4th teaspoon of green tea in a bowl.
    3. Add honey to create a smooth paste.
    4. Apply the face pack evenly on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes.
    5. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
    6. Use this face pack up to twice a week for best results.
  5. Lemon Peel, Gram Flour and Milk face pack:

    Benefits:

    1. Clears and brightens the skin
    2. Lemon peel acts as an exfoliator
    3. Gram flour controls oil secretion
    4. Milk provides a subtle glow and keeps skin hydrated

    How to Use:

    1. Take 1 spoonful of freshly grated lemon peel or 0.5 tablespoon of lemon peel powder
    2. Add 0.5 tablespoon of gram flour to the bowl
    3. Mix in raw milk to create a paste
    4. Optional:
      1. Add a pinch or two of turmeric powder
      2. Apply the paste on your face and leave it for 15 minutes
      3. Rinse off with normal water
      4. Use this face pack twice a week for best results
